Loewe: OLED Campaign

In preparation for IFA 2017, Bodo Sperlein launched a campaign for Loewe’s OLED televisions, working with photographer Jake Curtis, Studio Small, and set designer Hana Al-Sayed. The campaign used the interplay of light and texture to highlight the signature OLED screens. Bodo’s vision brought together nostalgic florals, iridescent feathers, richly coloured fruit, translucent berries, crystal, and glass. These reflective surfaces and detailed textures contrasted beautifully with the deep black of the OLED screens, creating a visually striking display.

Inspired by the still-life paintings of Dutch and Flemish masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer, the campaign echoed their use of dramatic contrast—lit objects set against a dark backdrop—allowing for a modern, digital interpretation. Debuting at IFA 2017, the campaign was nominated for the Creative Review Photography Annual 2017.
