A DESIGN STORY: THE BILD X
The bild x is not just a television, it's a statement. Blending cutting-edge technology with timeless design, we are reshaping the future of home entertainment. This is where bold innovation meets aesthetic purity, creating a truly modern masterpiece.
In this article, we explore the inspiration, challenges, and design philosophy behind the creation of the bild x.
At its core, the bild x harnesses LG's advanced OLED technology, widely regarded as the most flexible and sophisticated display available. However, to complement this next-generation screen, we knew we needed an equally groundbreaking design approach. The result is a seamless fusion of form and function—one that challenges conventional design norms.
Our vision was clear: to elevate the television from a simple electronic device to a sculptural centrepiece. Moving away from the use of plastic in consumer electronics, we selected premium materials—anodised metal, marble, and textiles—that reflect the perfect blend of artistry and domesticity.
One of the greatest challenges we faced was achieving balance. The goal was to ensure that the rich textures of metal and marble harmonised with the ultra-thin OLED panel, which measures a mere 4 mm in thickness. The frame needed to enhance, not overpower, the screen’s elegance.
In the end, it was essential that the frame remained discreet, allowing the display itself to shine. The beauty of the bild x lies in its subtlety, its impossibly thin profile is its most striking feature, making a lasting impression through its understated design.
The bild x is more than just a television. It’s a bold step forward in both technology and design, transforming the way we experience entertainment in the modern home.
