On display is an extensive variety of pieces from brand collaborations such as Dibbern, fabrics for Nya Nordiska, Script Lighting and Moire glass collection with J &L Lobmeyr, Jarosinski&Vaugoin, WienerBlut, and one of the most recent Ukrainian collaborations Coll.a.b, as well as marble pieces from the Silva Collection and the Contourline collection.
‘This exhibition will enable me to showcase my fascination with materiality and my desire to push boundaries in design. I believe it will highlight the many layers – in terms of material and form – that I have experimented with over the last 20 years in the design business. I’m glad to be working with Andreas Murkudis on this endeavour – he’s a great curator, has an even greater eye for detail and I like his laid-back, no-bullshit attitude.’
– Bodo Sperlein
The 'Layers' exhibition is running until mid-January 2023.

Patterned tapestry fabric that Bodo Sperlein designed for NYA NORDISKA is hanging from the high ceilings. He recently processed the same Cubist-inspired textile in a capsule collection titled Coll.A.B., designed with Ukrainian fashion designer Alina Oborska. Pieces of the collection, comprising of a wrap coat, pencil skirt and two bags, are also integrated into the exhibition.
For JAROSINSKI & VAUGOIN Bodo designed the modular Onda centrepiece range and the Orlo range of silver trays, bowls, vases, and lidded containers. Bodo has also created a series of sculptural silver perfume bottle toppers for the iconic couture perfume house WIENER BLUT, in collaboration with JAROSINSKI & VAUGOIN. WIENER BLUT fragrances have been a staple in Andreas’ beauty assortment for years and Bodo’s design additions allow customers to engrave initials onto the silver flacon toppers. All Viennese collaborative efforts will be on display in Layers.
