Contourline Collection

The Contourline furniture collection designed by Bodo Sperlein- where innovation meets timeless design.

Each wooden component is meticulously hand-selected and expertly crafted, resulting in sculptural pieces that draw inspiration from the simplicity and organic forms of the Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century.

Bench & Table

By seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, this solid wood furniture exhibits a fluidity that is further accentuated by the graceful curvature shared between the bench and table, creating a harmonious design that transcends expectations.

Every detail of the design has been meticulously considered to capture the essence of the Contourline collection and translate it seamlessly into this form. The result is a truly unique object that not only serves as a practical console table but also as a standalone sculptural piece, commanding attention in any space.

The fluid design is reminiscent of the Japanese influences of the Wiener Secession movement.

Side Table

A direct descendant of the original Contourline table, it continues to push the boundaries of traditional furniture making and honour the material of wood. The iconic smooth lines of the table are translated to a smaller scale, showcasing the elegance of the collection.

This piece challenges the material of the wood with more complex shapes and fluidity whilst keeping true to the tactility of the original Contourline Collection.

The chair radiates with elegance as it is crafted from the finest Beechwood. The alluring nature of its sleek design continues to elevate Bodo Sperlein’s commitment to craftsmanship.

This limited edition masterpiece showcases the exploration of bronze as a medium.

The Bench adopts the elegant silhouette that defines the Contourline Collection and translates it into bronze, enhancing its unique and sculptural characteristics. Pushing the boundaries of traditional furniture-making, this design employs complex and innovative techniques to create a truly exceptional piece.

Bronze is associated with high value. The use of this material imparts the same sense of validity as when it is used in sculpture and architecture. Historically, bronze statues have depicted gods across many civilizations, informing the distinguished perception of the material. The medium also impresses with its sustainable quality as it possesses exceptional longevity.

Bronze allows for much finer and thinner designs, and more opportunity to experiment with texture through a process of patination. Embracing the inherent qualities of bronze, rather than resisting them, the collection masterfully juxtaposes the polished underside with the inviting tactility of the patina, showcasing both the versatility and enduring appeal of this remarkable material.
