DIBBERN DECOR ANIMATIONS
In partnership with our creative collaborator, Gunter Piekarski, we embarked on an innovative journey to craft a series of captivating animations for the debut of Dibbern’s latest tableware decors. Drawing on deep-rooted inspiration from the Bauhaus era, we infused these visuals with modern flair, creating a narrative that bridges historic design and contemporary luxury.
Our creative process was deeply informed by the iconic visual language of the Bauhaus movement, known for its pioneering simplicity and bold geometric forms. Drawing from early 20th-century films and animations, and especially the avant-garde works of László Moholy-Nagy, we laid the foundation for animations that embody this rich heritage while speaking to today’s sophisticated audience.
The Avenues decor embraces an angular, architectural aesthetic, weaving a linear Bauhaus-inspired language throughout. This design echoes Bodo’s reflections on urban exploration—specifically the dynamic experience of cycling through the intricate streets and alleyways of London’s Southbank. Our animation captures this essence with a bird’s-eye view, transforming the decor into a living, moving tapestry that illustrates urban pathways brought to life through rhythmic motion.
Sequence pays homage to the refined airbrushing techniques cherished by the avant-garde ceramicists of the 1930s. Its pattern of subtly intersecting semi-spheres evokes an Art Deco charm, rejuvenated for a contemporary setting. The animation interprets this timeless elegance with modern sensibilities, showcasing how classic styles can be seamlessly adapted for the 21st century.
Through these animations, we sought to merge the historic and modern, crafting a visual experience that not only highlights the meticulous artistry of Dibbern’s new collection but also enriches it with a compelling narrative that resonates with today’s luxury design aficionados.
