BTS | JUGENDSTIL EXHIBITION
In late October 2024, the Jugendstil Made in Munich exhibition opened its doors at Kunsthalle München, under the art direction and design of Bodo Sperlein. This extraordinary showcase celebrates the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau, featuring iconic designs spanning furniture, textiles, jewellery, and fine art.
The exhibition’s execution was a monumental effort, with weeks of preparation involving curatorial teams, builders, and painters, all working to bring Bodo Sperlein’s vision to life. Highlights include the recreation of the renowned Studio Elvira façade, and a bespoke wave display table designed by Sperlein, alongside other uniquely crafted pedestals and exhibition stands. Each room was carefully painted in a distinct colour to reflect its theme, and considerable effort went into the installation of the breathtaking floating chair design.
Since its opening, the exhibition has drawn over 1,000 visitors daily, a testament to its resounding success. Jugendstil Made in Munich will remain open to the public until 23rd March 2025. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this masterful celebration of Art Nouveau at Kunsthalle München.
