Menu 2025

Merging Craftsmanship, Materiality, and Ritual - Menu was a bold, immersive exhibition designed and curated by Bodo Sperlein for Milan Design Week 2025, transforming the historic All Saints Anglican Church in Brera into a contemporary dining hall. Set within this serene and sacred space, the exhibition reimagined the concept of a banquet - not through food, but through the beauty of crafted objects and the rituals of gathering.

Menu presented a curated journey through materiality, form, and collaboration. Central to the experience was a striking 7-metre sculptural table, set with the new Juno bone china collection for Dibbern - an elegant showcase of refinement and tactile beauty. Surrounding it, Schotten & Hansen’s modular wood veneer system, designed specifically for the exhibition, created an intimate spatial flow, enriched by intricate craftsmanship.

The exhibition also saw the debut of new lighting pieces, including Lobmeyr’s floral-inspired Orchid chandelier and LZF’s sculptural Arabesque, alongside designs like Osca and Voliere. Textile interventions by Edelgrund and GAN Rugs grounded the installation in warmth and softness, while Azado’s outdoor kitchens welcomed visitors with a sense of connection and tradition even before entering the church.

Bringing together esteemed international brands - Schotten & Hansen, Lobmeyr, Dibbern, LZF, Edelgrund, Gan Rugs, and Azado - Menu was a luminous dialogue between heritage and innovation. It invited visitors to experience design not only as objects, but as stories, rituals, and spaces of shared presence.
